Every size below is one where the file still lands at 200 DPI or better after cropping to that shape, giving up no more than 18% of the long edge. That is a fine-art standard, and it is a list of where quality stays excellent — not a limit. Going larger is perfectly possible; the picture softens gradually rather than failing at any particular point, and canvas is routinely printed well beyond this list because it is viewed from further away.
